| Today, we’re going to cover counting 0 through 10. In Swedish, counting is very straightforward, so let’s jump right into it. |

| Counting objects in Swedish is very straightforward, the number is followed by the object. For example, one person is en person. The number comes first, followed by the object, in this case, people. |
| In Swedish, nouns have singular and plural forms. So for example, if there are two people, you say två personer. |

| In Swedish, nouns also have genders. In case of the word for people, the gender is called neutrum, which means you put en and not ett before person. |

| The only number that will change depending on the gender of the noun is the number 1. As earlier said, when talking about something with a gender neutrum, one is en, but when it is the other gender neutrum, as the word for “house” hus, number 1 is ett. This would be one of the hardest parts in Swedish, that’s why learning a word, you should learn the gender at the same time. |
