Cultural Insight |
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight. |
Carl: Swedish people are generally pretty good at English. If you are in a big city, you should have no trouble communicating by only English. Even in the countryside, most people understand basic phrases. Be aware however that food menus, transport etc are almost never in English. So if you can't work out that biff is Swedish for “beef,” don’t hesitate to ask people to translate. |
