Hej Alexander,
"Var vänlig" is a formal version of "var snäll" and you could say that they're the Swedish version of the English "please". We use these phrases when we're asking someone to do something.
For example:
Var vänlig och fyll i det här dokumentet. (Please fill in this document.)
Kan du vara snäll och ta ut soporna? (Could you please take out the garbage?)
I hope this helps! 😇

Hi!
What does "var vänlig" exactly mean and in which context can I use it? I tried to look it up but I am still unsure about the usage.
Tack så mycket!
Hej Sonia,
We apologize but that is actually a small mistake. You can say "Var vänlig välj" or "var vänlig och välj". But we do not use "att" in this sentence. We're sorry about this mistake. Thank you for pointing this out. :innocent:

I have a question.
Why in the woman says once: var vänligt välj....
and the second time she says: var vänligt att välj....
Tack så mycket
